Notes for Gad Warriner

General Note
Gad Warriner was prominent in town affairs, serving as selectman for a number of years. He was a member of the Massachusetts Legislature from Springfield in 1805 and 1809, and from West Springfield, 1814, 1815. He lived in a house next to the horse ferry in West Springfield, as shown on a map printed in 1831.

Ruel Warriner was his nearest neighbor. The Gad Warriner homestead is in good repair, and is owned and occupied (1898) by Elijah D. Abbee.

Major Gad Warriner is buried with his wife in the church cemetery, church record, Agawam Congregational Church; May 10, 1842; gravestone record, Agawam Cemetery, Agawam, Massachusetts
